We chose Brasov for our twinning because it is one of the most important cities of Romania.
After a warm welkome, Mr. Andrei Daniel, the President of the Romanian Haemophilia
Association presented the haemophilia snapshot of
Romania and possible ways of development.
Then Dr. Gheorghiţă Emanoil (Haematologist, Chief of Haematology Department
in Emergency County Clinical Hospital, Brasov) presented the current situation
of haemophilia care in Brasov region
Dr. Gábor Varga (President of the Hungarian Haemophilia Society, Steering Committee
Member of the European Haemophilia Consortium) presented in his discourse the European Principles of Haemophilia Care
Dr. Zita Kovács (Pediatrician of Covasna County Hospital) presented the local haemophilia care in
Sfântu Gheorghe / Romania
Ms. Borbála Keszthelyi (Board Member of the Hungarian Haemophilia
Society) presented "The role
of statistics and database of the haemophilia care"
Ms. Adrienn Cziczer (Physiotherapist,
Volunteer of the Hungarian Haemophilia Society) presented the " Role of physiotherapist in
haemophilia care"
Conf Dr. Delia Mihailov (Vice
president of the Romanian Haemophilia Association) presented " Health
economics in haemophilia"
We ended the presentations with personal testimony of a Romanian and a Hungarian haemophilia patient
It was a real good opportunity to present to the media the Romanian haemophilia situation.
The local branch of the Romanian Haemophilia Association was able to present their point of view.
And the local doctors were there too.
Even if the very new Ministry of Health couldn't attend our meeting, we can say that it was a well organized, succesfull twinning.
