End Year Meeting in Buzias

Our last meeting was organized on 19th of November, in Buzias.
The two associations agreed that we had a fruitful year, with a lot of events.
We decided on the new year's projects: there will be regional meetings with patients and doctors, workshops, and meetings with government  officials.
Our guests from Hungary visited the Clinical Center „Cristian Serban” of Evaluation and Rehabilitation for Children and Adolescent,and attended the Romanian Haemophilia Association's meeting too.

Twinning Haemophilia Symposium in Brasov


We chose Brasov for our twinning because it is one of the most important cities of Romania.

After a warm welkome, Mr. Andrei Daniel, the President of the Romanian Haemophilia Association presented the  haemophilia snapshot of Romania and possible ways of development.
Then Dr. Gheorghiţă Emanoil (Haematologist, Chief of Haematology Department in Emergency County Clinical Hospital, Brasov) presented  the current situation of haemophilia care in Brasov region
Dr. Gábor Varga (President of the Hungarian Haemophilia Society, Steering Committee Member of the European  Haemophilia Consortium) presented in his discourse the European Principles of Haemophilia Care
Dr. Zita Kovács (Pediatrician of Covasna County Hospital) presented the  local haemophilia care in Sfântu Gheorghe / Romania
Ms. Borbála Keszthelyi (Board Member of the Hungarian Haemophilia Society) presented "The role of statistics and database of the haemophilia care"
      Ms. Adrienn Cziczer (Physiotherapist, Volunteer of the Hungarian Haemophilia Society) presented the " Role of physiotherapist in haemophilia care"                              
Conf Dr. Delia Mihailov (Vice president of the Romanian Haemophilia Association) presented " Health economics in haemophilia"

We ended the presentations with  personal testimony of a Romanian and a Hungarian haemophilia patient
It was a real good opportunity to present to the media the Romanian haemophilia situation.  
           The local branch of the Romanian Haemophilia Association was able to present their point of view. 
 And the local doctors were there too.

 Even if the very new Ministry of Health couldn't attend our meeting, we can say that it was a well organized,  succesfull twinning.

Haemophilia Summer Camp at Balaton

 On 23.07.20011-06.08.2011, Zánka will be the home for the Hungarian haemophilia children and their guests from Romania.
Zánka is a youth center nearby the beautiful Balaton lake. Here the children will have many opportunities to play, learn and make friends.  
Here is the videoclip about the 2010 camp activity. This camp was also organized in Zánka. There were 4 Romanian children too!

United in achievement - Treatment for all!

The two sister haemophilia associations cellebrated by working the World Haemophilia Day! On the 15th of April there was held a symposium in Bucharest.

We are at the beggining of the of the twinning, but after each meeting is good to talk about results too:
1. Our meeting prooved that there are no borders for haemophilia. The Hungarian Haemophilia Society and the Romanian Haemphilia Association became sister associations.
2.We became friends.  
 3. Dr. Andrei Kozma, the personal adviser of the Romanian Health Minister, attended the meeting. We told to him our problems and our aims. We also showed to him, that haemophilia pacients who live in two countries with simmilar economies live differently and this is innacceptable. Dr. Kozma promised that he will present everything to the Health Minister. 
4. The media was there too. They heard and transmitted our message to the govenment and to the ordinary people.  
5. The pharmaceutical companies attended our symposium. They are the witnesses of our start.
